That's BULLPUCKEY, people!!! Should have been Adam ALL THE WAY! He SO blows everyone out of the water! Did you see him with KISS?! Did ya?! Did ya?! How can you compare that to Kris with Keith Urban? So sad. Even Kris thought it was wrong....

"The underdog, the dark horse!" raved Seacrest after announcing Allen's surprise win. He asked Allen how it felt.

"It feels good, but Adam deserves this -- this is crazy," Allen said.

The Final Showdown!!!!

Some great performances last night. Well, one in particular from Adam! Absolutely loved his second song! I'd say both Kris and Adam massacred that final song but I'm pretty sure that song set itself up to fail! Kara, really? ... you were actually proud enough of that song that you admitted you co-wrote it?! UGH!

I still don't understand all the hoopla about Kris. Yeah, yeah ... he's kinda cute. And his voice is pleasant enough. But don't y'all get distracted by his giraffe jaw?? You know, how his jaw goes sideways on some notes? Plus ... B-O-R-I-N-G! I will not be happy if America crowns him the winner. But, I've been outvoted before .... I do believe I was the only one on a 12 man jury who voted CORRECTLY on a civil trial! (hee, hee ... I'm such a rebel!) But ANYWAY, I digress! ;)

Okay, this is difficult!! I'm thinking that Adam is just blowing everyone else away so watching the others perform makes me cringe a bit ... even though both Danny and Kris are obviously very talented. However, I say it is a toss up between them tonight! I'm only voting Kris to go as I said at the beginning I wanted Danny and Adam in the final two. So I'm sticking with that ... and hope that's how it plays out!

Shockingly, no-one voted for Adam tonight. What up?! Would have been a great way to make some headway in this race. Because a number of us are really, really close.

Remember, top three get to grab a piece of the pie! So ... there's a number of us who may get some "kudos" when all is said and done.

Sorry for the delay, folks. What with being out of town ... and then having kitty crisises ... it's been kind of crazy. For those of you who don't know, I lost my beloved CJ last Monday. And then in a shock of the century, I get home last night to find I need to rush Emma to the vet and she didn't survive (heart and kidney issues). Two cats ... one week apart! Heartbreaking. I had CJ just shy of 19 years ... and Emma over 12. So if I'm way off on my totals or whathaveya in the next couple of posts ... please bear with me. :(

Okay, so I missed last night's show as I went to the theater to see "Wicked" (HIGHLY recommend!). And when I got home late, my cable wasn't working so I was on the phone with Comcast til 11:30pm. By then they did a hard reboot for me and told me I'd need to wait a minimum of 20 minutes before dvr was available. So I went to bed!

BUT ... I did scan through quickly this morning ... watching 5 seconds of each performance and then listening to Simon's review (he cuts to the chase!) ... and I think my take of it was on par with the rest of ya. Man, we have a good batch of singers this season! This is pretty cool! The only one who bugs me really is Megan. I mean, this week we got not only that twitchy dance move she does but also some chicken wings in there. I was afraid she was going to start doing an all out chicken dance! SHEESH! So I HAVE to vote for her ... though I figure the judges throwing her the "flu" bone will net her some sympathy votes. DAMN IT! Pre-week #1

Okay, some of y'all had some definite opinions about which three of last night's twelve will be going through. Ann and Kusno, you may want to hide as apparently Lili might be trying to hunt you down cuz you voted for Tatiana! (hee hee). Personally, I don't think Tatiana will make the cut tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the judges bring her back as a wildcard later on in the show. The AI producers just love it when we've got a "Sanjaya" on our hands (ugh!)

I didn't hear from some of y'all but this was pretty last minute so I figured that to happen. Again, we'll play the next couple of weeks as "warm-up" to ease us all back into the regiment of watching and voting on-time. (I'm so used to dvr'ing everything and then watching at my leisure that having to watch the same night (and perhaps even (*gasp*) live with commercials!!) is going to be a shock to the system! ;)).

Here we go again!

Welcome back, everybody!!! It's that time again! Whoo hooo! I'm pretty happy with the talent this year ... looks like we've got some good ones. And I'm going out on the limb and calling dibs on my favorite already, I really think he's got a shot at winning this thing, and he is ..... (*insert drumroll*) ... Danny Gokey (errr, the widower guy) :) That's right, I'm already calling the winner ... y'all can just send me your cash directly and bypass the next couple of months of my whoopin your ass in this competition as I'm pretty sure he's got it!! :)

So, even though there are still 36 contestants, it looks like the audience is already voting this week. So why don't we start with the voting too. Everybody good with that? I'll know more on how many we need to vote for after the show on Tuesday but I do know that the votes need to be to me Wednesday by 12pm. (same as last year)
